Those who watched the White House press conference on Wednesday afternoon saw White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki deliver another outstanding performance. She’s gotten fairly good at dodging and dismissing reporters who were critical of President Biden’s crude language during his Tuesday afternoon appearance at Atlanta University and Morehouse College.
A reporter directly asked Psaki about Senator Mitt Romney’s critique. The Utah politician lambasted Biden for failing to utilize the address to unite the country, instead attacking GOP members who disagreed with him and equating them with segregationists just because they believe everyone should be forced to show identification when voting.
As a southerner, Black, conservative, former democrat, former legislator, former county executive, proud American and currently a #GOP gubernatorial candidate for Georgia, @JoeBiden’s speech in Atlanta was bigoted at best, ill conceived, short sighted and dimwitted at worse! pic.twitter.com/y4UYrnudYp— Vernon Jones For Governor (@RepVernonJones) January 13, 2022
Romney did utilize the Biden speech to bash former President Trump again on the Senate floor on Wednesday. “And so, President Biden goes down the same tragic road taken by President Trump, casting doubt on the reliability of American elections.”
Psaki deftly diverted Romney’s critique of President Trump back to the 2020 presidential election, rather than tackling the criticism of Biden’s remarks.
Critics slammed the 43-year-old Stamford, Connecticut native on social media, calling her a “embarrassment” to the country. In the case of RINO Romney, he’s already shown his treachery to the previous president by voting twice during the impeachment witch hunt to convict him without a shred of proof.
Other critics called Psaki inept and criticized her dismissal of Biden’s speech, despite the fact that both had previously chastised Trump for his words and tone.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who also stepped to the Senate floor to express his unhappiness with Biden’s harsh remarks, called Biden’s statements unpresidential.
