One of the most non-violent American presidents in recent memory, Donald Trump, posted a video of Joe Biden indicating that, should Russia attack Ukraine, he would do whatever it took to halt the Nord Stream 2 project.
Additionally, Donald Trump promised to act as a diplomatic middleman to halt the devastating Russia-Ukraine War, which has recently devolved into a standoff.
“This is a big event that should not entail a big solution, at least not yet. The Russia/Ukraine catastrophe should NEVER have happened, and would definitely not have happened if I were President.”
In the earlier part of the evening, Trump recalled his prior warning to Germany against overdependence on Russian energy.

“Everyone is talking about the big hurricane barreling into Florida, as they should be, but perhaps a far more important event in the longer term was the announcement that the Nord Stream I & II Pipelines out of Russia (which I brought to the World’s attention as President when I explained how crippling reliance on it could be for Germany and other parts of Europe.”
The German delegation laughed when Trump warned against relying on Russian energy in a speech at the UN in 2018.

“Reliance on a single foreign supplier can leave a nation vulnerable to extortion and intimidation. That is why we congratulate European states, such as Poland, for leading the construction of a Baltic pipeline so that nations are not dependent on Russia to meet their energy needs. Germany will become totally dependent on Russian energy if it does not immediately change course. Here in the Western Hemisphere, we are committed to maintaining our independence from the encroachment of expansionist foreign powers.”
Several explosions on Monday caused severe damage to the Nordstream 2 natural gas pipeline that runs from Russia to Germany. Authorities in Denmark claim that the explosions were the consequence of intentional operations. The disclosures were caused by sabotage, according to Ursula Von der Leyen, president of the European Union Commission.
President Biden had previously threatened the Russians over the project earlier in 2022.
