Americans prefer less immigration rather than more. While this is true of legal immigration, it is doubly true of illegal immigration, which is seen as a scourge by both native-born Americans and those who have legitimately moved here.
They see how illegal immigration lowers wages and contributes to crime, and they want it to stop.
The elites, on the other hand, do not. Whether it’s RINO politicians, corporatist Democrats, or the corporate supporters of both, they prefer the cheap labor supply produced by illegal immigration and want to keep it flowing, regardless of the cost to ordinary Americans.

As a result, RINOs and Democrats are pushing for amnesty for illegals; amnesty would provide their corporate funders the legal cover they need to keep hiring illegals, and it would encourage even more illegals to come here in the pipeline of cheap labor.
According to a February 17 report by the National Republican Congressional Committee, Hispanic battleground voters believe Republicans in Congress at 42%, can do a better job dealing with jobs and the economy than Democrats in Congress at 35%.
The contentious Growth and Opportunity Project study, pushed by establishment Republicans after Gov. Mitt Romney was severely defeated by President Barack Obama in 2012, focused on the need for expanded amnesty and immigration.
By rejecting that idea, House Republicans are effectively siding with their constituents and voters over the interests of large corporations and farming enterprises seeking to exploit cheap labor to keep prices low and profits high.
