Rep. Lauren Boebert (R) of Colorado is a divisive political figure. Over the past year, she has also experienced turmoil in her personal life. Her eldest son is currently facing legal issues.

Tyler Boebert, 18, was taken into custody by the Colorado Rifle Police Department on February 27. The congresswoman’s son was reportedly identified by police officers who had previous encounters with him as the man in a surveillance video taken at a gas station. In the video, Boebert was seen using a credit card that had been stolen with a group of young people. He had on a hoodie from Shooter’s Bar and Grill. The eatery was once owned by his parents.

Law authorities said that several automobile thefts and break-ins had occurred in the town. It was alleged that the individuals in the video utilized the victims’ cards. They are also accused of stealing credit cards, identity cards, and at least one Social Security card.

The cards were allegedly utilized at McDonald’s, petrol stations, and online retailers by the accused thieves.

Boebert is accused with around two dozen offenses, some of which are felonies. According to reports, he faces charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and criminal possession of identification documents.

In a statement following her son’s arrest, Representative Boebert expressed her love for her son while also acknowledging that he has been going through challenges and has not yet been able to put his life back on track. She claimed that because of her position, he has been the “subject of attention that he didn’t ask for,” which doesn’t help. The politician stated that he need to take responsibility for his deeds.

The congresswoman’s ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, has been the root of a lot of the teen’s issues. He and he have had numerous run-ins, and he was even taken into custody for reportedly beating his kid. Due to his unstable behavior, the congresswoman ultimately obtained a restraining order against her ex. In an assertion to the Daily Mail, the senior Boebert pledged his support for his son.
